Materials in our Project Management Professional (PMP)® Prep course are based on the text, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), Sixth edition, Project Management Institute, Inc. 2017
PMI , PMP and PMBOK are registered marks of the Project Management Institute, Inc.
We are in the process of updating our PM training programs and offerings.
Currently, our main business is providing PMP® Prep classes for corporations and PMI® Chapters. We are the preferred provider of PMP® Prep classes for the U.S. Census Bureau, and also, we have provided two classes for the Washington, DC PMI® Chapter (PMIWDC) each year for the past five years, and we will be providing the PMP® Prep class for PMIWDC this year too. Currently, because of the COVID-19 virus, PMIWDC has decided to move the planned spring 2020 class to September. The schedule is currently planned for the weekends of Sept. 19-20 and Sept. 26-27. Register for this class on the www.pmiwdc.org website. We also have provided PMI-ACP® classes for PMIWDC and the Baltimore PMI Chapter – PMIBC.
For our corporate PMP® Prep classes, we provide:
- Traditional five-day classes or four-day classes
- “Blended classes”:
- These classes combine on-demand video training with five review sessions of 90 minutes each. The review sessions will be web-based – (using GoToMeeting or Zoom). Students will have access to an instructor to obtain responses to any questions within 24 hours.
- We think in today’s world, project managers are finding it increasingly difficult to take four or five days away from the office to attend a traditional class, so a blended solution where the training can be modularized, but still provide personalized instructor assistance can be an effective solution.
- “Blended classes” plus “Cooperative Learning” – Please see the page comparing a traditional classroom approach to virtual and blended training approaches, and also to “Cooperative Learning” approaches.
We are investigating how we could provide a blended PMP® Prep solution for “public” classes or “open enrollment” classes. Again, we will update our website with information on this in the summer of 2020.
Finally, many students have been able to use the Moodle LMS training to successfully pass the PMP® exam by just working on their own.
If you have questions about any of these solutions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
